Go kick it in the…what?
I can’t believe they wasted the Boys In Tuxedos concept on a song like this. Do you even understand how long I’ve waited to see Suju perform in cummerbunds and bowties?!?!?
I mentioned previously that Super Junior is the one group that always prompts me to drown in thoughts and feels whenever they release new stuff. Welp, so much for that theory because upon listening to their repackaged tracks for Spy, I literally had nothing to say. The other songs on the album were listenable but fairly uninteresting, and “Spy” was just so bad I was simply rendered speechless.
Which is a total shame because the choreography is clever in some parts* and boys in cummerbunds. Why does K-pop hate me so much. Why.
*Except for the suit-jacket stripping — which I dislike not because I’m not a fan of seeing Suju take their clothes off, but because I really loved how they stitched rhinestones on the insides of their jackets. It was a really nice touch and accentuated their dance movements well…but then some genius thought it’d be a good idea to have Suju flash the audience every three bars. Magic. Ruined. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻)
