I always feel kind of iffy making commentary on dramas because I haven’t watched very many and I don’t think I have as good an eye for television – you could blame it on my short attention span, I guess.

To be honest, I wasn’t as struck by Secret Garden as I thought I would be, and I find that that’s due more to the fact that I disliked almost all of the characters, save for Taesun (because he was cute), and Seul (because she reminds me of…me. That’s a bad thing, isn’t it?). But everyone else was just annoying. Joo-won was a jerk, Oska was uninteresting, and Ra-im had, like, four hundred conflicting personality traits within her – and I didn’t like any of them.

But I’m beginning to find that my drama-watching isn’t enhanced by good characters as much as it is just plain good scriptwriting – which Secret Garden excelled at. The story? Meh. But it was carried out by such good writing (executed by such good actors!) that I can’t help but grin a little.

And I am gonna miss this guy:
