Song of the day: “8282”
I’m so incredibly late to catch on to the “8282” bandwagon, but better late than never, right? To be honest, I have heavy mixed emotions about this song. It’s a little too schizo for my taste, and the transition from theme to theme isn’t smooth at all. But the two different themes of the song are so fantastic by themselves that I can’t bear to not call it a pretty good song.
Davichi definitely caught my attention with “8282,” though; I’ve got to give them credit for them. They’ve got that same Beyonce-ish, R&B, hyperactive vibrato that Bom has, and I LOVE IT. It’s just so unique amongst Asian singers.
I’m not completely impressed with “8282” yet; the schizoish nature of the song is a bit of a turn-off. It’s kind of like “Take Your Hands,” except on a less obnoxious scale. Meh. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Davichi has to offer.
